Laser cutting & engraving in Tel Aviv
Canelo is a family-run laser workshop at Simtat Beit HaBad 1, corner of Derech Yafo, Tel Aviv. We laser-cut and engrave birch and poplar plywood, acrylic (Perspex, including silver and gold mirror) and grey model cardboard, up to 40×60 cm. Technical details
- Formats: AI, DXF, SVG or vector PDF, at real scale, in millimeters.
- Text converted to outlines.
- No duplicate lines: from AutoCAD, clean with OVERKILL before exporting.
- Closed paths; hairline for cutting, fill for engraving.
- Photo engraving: JPG or PNG at 300 dpi.
- Maximum work area: 40×60 cm.

How much does laser cutting cost in Tel Aviv?
At Canelo it is ₪15 per machine minute, for cutting or engraving. Material and design are quoted separately, and the final price is agreed in advance on WhatsApp.
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can order a single piece. Bulk orders get a special price.
Which materials do you cut?
Birch and poplar plywood in 2, 4 and 6 mm, acrylic (Perspex) 2/4/6 mm including silver and gold mirror, and grey cardboard for models.
I don't have a file. Can you still help?
Yes. Send a photo, a sketch or a description; we design it (from ₪150) and send you a preview to approve before cutting.
Do you cut architecture student models?
Yes: acrylic and grey cardboard from DXF, AI or PDF files at scale. Clean duplicate lines with OVERKILL before sending and it goes straight to the machine.
How long does it take?
Usually a few days. Express jobs in 24–48 hours for 30% extra. For holidays and events, order 2–3 weeks ahead.
